OpenFDA Provides Access to Public Data
June 3, 2014 - Kestrel Food Safety
The FDA has launched openFDA, a new initiative designed to make it easier for the public to access large, important public health data sets collected by the FDA. OpenFDA will make the FDA’s publicly available data accessible to quickly query or pull massive amounts of public information directly from FDA data sets, as needed. OpenFDA is intended to serve as a valuable resource to help the public and private sectors use FDA public data to spur innovation, advance academic research, educate the public, and protect public health.
