FDA Opening Session
Also, by attending the Food Safety Consortium, you can meet, network and hear directly from FDA in the opening plenary presentation…
FDA and USDA Surveillance, Compliance and Laboratory Strategies to Support the Food Safety Modernization Act > FDA Town Hall Meeting
This opening plenary session, which will be a hybrid of presentations and a town hall-style forum between the attendees and the presenters, will provide the attendees with an overview of the evolution of food safety efforts as defined by FSMA and the implementation of a new holistic sampling paradigm. The presentations will address compliance, surveillance and preventive control aspects of the new law for FDA; the role science and research play as foundation elements needed to support regulatory; and the efforts by USDA/FSIS to incorporate risk-informed/preventive control practices. The town hall forum to follow will allow for further discussion of topics and issues raised during the presentations.
